Group activities and goals - What would you like to see?

There are currently 156 members that love animals in our group right now, which is great! We haven't had a ton of activity on here recently, but I truly believe that together we could really make a difference in our local community.

What direction would you like to see the group go in? One of our members, Laura K, suggested that we volunteer weekly at a shelter to walk, wash and cuddle some pets that could use a little love. We could arrange a monthly volunteer opportunity at different shelters where we could help them with things they need done but don't have time for, from painting to paperwork. We could have a day to leaflet in an area about local animal issues. Really, there are many volunteer opportunities in our area!

I've found that when we brainstorm, we get great ideas that grow in to even more great ideas. If you have something you'd like to share with the group, no matter how unique it is, please share. You never know what might come of it!

I'm also going to set up a Meetup for those who would like to brainstorm in person in the next couple of weeks, so I hope to meet some of you there!

I think Laura K had a great idea! I wonder if we have to complete the inteview and training process before we can help the shelter animals?
